The name is composed of <em>kimchi<\/em> and <em>Bokkeumbap<\/em>, which literally means \u2018fried rice\u2019.<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>Essentially, the dish consists of:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>cooked rice<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>fermented Kimchi<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>some fat for frying<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>and a spicy component such as gochujang or soy sauce.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>When fried, these ingredients combine to create an intense blend of savoury, slightly spicy, salty and pleasantly tangy flavours.<\/p>\n\n<p>Kimchi Fried Rice belongs to the category of classic leftover dishes.
