Ingredients (2 portions)
6 chicken wings
1/2 tsp pepper
1 tsp salt
3 tbsp oil (e.g. rapeseed oil)
For the Teriyaki sauce:
4 tbsp Sake (im Shop ansehen)
4 tbsp Mirin (im Shop ansehen)
8 tbsp Shoyu soy sauce (im Shop ansehen)
4 tbsp sugar
(optional) sesame seeds (im Shop ansehen)
Method (30 minutes)

Step 1
Prepare the ingredients for the Teriyaki Chicken Wings.

Step 2
First, rinse the chicken wings under running water and pat them dry thoroughly with kitchen paper. Then season the wings with salt and pepper on all sides and rub the seasoning in gently.

Step 3
Heat a large frying pan over a high heat and add oil. Place the chicken wings skin-side down in the pan and fry for a few minutes until golden brown. Then turn them over and fry vigorously for a few more minutes. Remove the fried chicken wings from the pan and set aside on a plate.

Step 4
Turn the heat under the pan down to a low setting. Then, for the Teriyaki sauce, add the soya sauce, Mirin, Sake and sugar to the pan. Simmer for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, to allow the sugar to dissolve.

Step 5
Place the fried chicken wings into the Teriyaki sauce. Using a spoon, keep spooning the slightly thickened sauce over the wings.

Step 6
After about 3 to 4 minutes, turn the wings and leave them to marinate for another 3 minutes or so.

Step 7
Arrange the finished teriyaki chicken wings on a plate, pour the remaining teriyaki sauce from the pan over them and, if desired, garnish with a few sesame seeds. Done – Itadakimasu!
