Beni Shoga is an integral part of everyday Japanese cuisine and, with its combination of spicy acidity, mild heat and crisp texture, provides the perfect finishing touch to many dishes. Produced by Daruma, this pickled ginger brings a genuine Tsukemono experience to your kitchen.
Typically, Beni Shoga is cut into julienne strips and pickled in a red vinegar solution, which gives it its vibrant colour and fresh aroma. It is the classic topping for Okonomiyaki, Yakisoba and Gyudon, but goes just as well with Ramen, Donburi or Bento dishes.
